Ways to Give

SFI is a non-profit private research institute and donations to the Institute are tax-deductible. There are many ways to contribute to SFI and support our mission. We honor your contribution by providing a written receipt and acknowledging donors on our website and in the annual report.

Cash/Checks

Please make your check payable to the Santa Fe Institute.

Credit Card

You may give either a one-time contribution or monthly installments using your credit card.  You may do so online now.

Securities

Securities can be transferred directly from your brokerage account to the Institute’s account. Securities are recorded based on the mean market value of the stock on the date of gift, which is the date you relinquish control of the stock. Please contact the Office of Development for information on transferring securities by calling 505-946-3678.

Wire Transfer

Wire transfers are most commonly used for gifts made from outside the United States. To ensure proper disposition of the gift please contact the Office of Development for instructions on how you can wire your gift by calling 505-946-3678.

Match Your Gift

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by employees. Request a matching gift form from your employer and send the signed form to SFI along with your gift. The impact of your gift to the Institute may be doubled or possibly tripled. Some companies also match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.
